Welcome's over - get involved !Welcome to the website of Oakville's only not-for-profit minor football association. Similar to the Burlington BMFA and Mississauga MFA community clubs - Oakville Minor Football is commited to keeping highest-quality football programs accessible and affordable to Oakville kids for years to come.

OMF is entering our second year of operations, and what a year it has been. Quality programs, a SCOFL championship JV team, a terrific safety record, unbelievable community support, and a terrific fiscal financial story - about says it all.

Our Accomplishments have been impressive - click here to see our Membership page as well.

  • OMF was invited to join what has become the most prestigious spring rep travel football league in the Province, the OFC.
  • OMF was invited to join the province's largest fall house league - the Mississauga Football League.
  • Oakville native Michael "PinBall" Clemens dropped our JV team for a pep-talk - and then they headed out and won the SCOFL championships.
  • 130 of our parents and players got involved with our Ivor Wynne day - compared to 200 BMFA tickets sold. Wow!
130 Titans at Ivor Wynne Day - August 2009
  • The OMF fielded more Oakville kids on tackle football teams this year than any other group - AND our teams were 99% Oakville residents as well.
  • Our game news and stats were in the Oakville newspapers more than a dozen times this season - so OMF kids get noticed !
  • Our SCOFL Championship Game MVP, Zack Secord, recieved a full scolarship to Simon Frasier University in British Columbia. Congratulations Zack!

Our nine-member board is comprised of parents, teachers, and coaches that wanted our kids to have a fun football club to play and develop youth  - with an emphasis on safety - and with the ability to play within a league not half-full with elite, pre-CFL-level players.

Soccer and hockey are great for some - but not everyone. For our kids, it is football that best matches their skills and abilities; and it is football that is responsible for turning our couch potatoes into athletes. The camaraderie of a football team is like few other in sport. Did you know that:

Just 1% of our hockey playing kids are going to play in the Junior A's - compared to 15% of our football players who will play at a college-level !!

Per-player injuries in house-league and rep-level football are a distant second to Hockey and no more prevalent than head and leg injury statistics in Soccer.

Football is a terrific alternative to the XBOX that so many of our youngsters are "addicting" themselves to.

Safety is treated seriously in OMF football -

Equipment is of the highest quality and carefully picked to be light and safe.

Medical and certified athletic training staff are on-hand at all games and practises.

Teams are paired carefully - to ensure that beginner and oversized players aren't competing with smaller or pre-CFL-level players.

The Oakville Minor Football Association is committed to making Football accessible to our kids - without having to drive to neighbouring cities to practise and play, however, we will always favour a longer drive when it ensures kids get to play with their own age groups.

Coaches, Medical folks, and Volunteers - you are in high demand right now. We hope you will seriously consider lending your time and talent to coach your child's team - or to help out with a team that needs you. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
